Music Education

A small group of students in a classroom take notes and listen thoughtfully to their music education professor.

Interested in a music education major?

The music education program is committed to encouraging and expanding scholarship and teaching practice in new and innovative areas of music education, as well as to developing the practical applications of that scholarship.

Through strong teaching from faculty both in the College of Music and the College of Education, music education students become outstanding K–12 music teachers, both in Michigan and the nation.
